Is it normal for a boy to straighten his fringe?

I, on rare occasions, rather than my straight fringe, the rest of the hair. The number of my friends are joking about it, I think I know the others.

How to straighten my hair without my fringe raising away from my head?

I’ve started to straighten my fringe to the left hand side of my head (right if you were stood infront of me). I have a problem when I straighten it thought. It always raises from my forhea\d like it always stands on end. Is there a way/technique I can use to prevent this from happening.

Just to clear up:

I’m wanting to know how I can straighten the front of my hair without it raising away from my head.
