If I got a side fringe/bangs cut at the start of summer would they grow back by the time we go back to school?

I want to try out side fringe/bangs like this:

but i’m scared it won’t look good, so if i get them at the very start of the summer, which is 6 weeks long, will they have grown back by the time we go back to school?

What can I do to my long straight hair which has a fringe/bangs?

I just want something that I could do at home, no cutting or dying or anything. My fringe is long and straight and not to the side. Any suggestions of hairstyles i might try?
Two things to add:
1. My hair is super straight, no need for irons!
2. It is not oily at all and quite soft – if that is relevent
